The Nexxt Generation Church (NGC) offers many biblically based opportunities to grow in
the knowledge of
God. The goal is to provide various venues
that are conducive for learning, fellowship,
and worship.
The Nexxt Generation Church has two areas of
focus: spiritually develop our children and
provide our children spiritually enriching
programs of study. To meet these diverse
needs, resources are comprehensively
structured by age appropriateness,
collective interests, subject matter, scope,
entertainment, and sense of Christian
living. All students are challenged weekly
from a curriculum designed to connect them
academically, logically, and spiritually for
daily living. The various Bible studies each
offer a unique perspective and focus, geared
at equipping today's young people with the
tools and weapons they need for
a successful
young life journey. We believe there are
recurring challenges facing youth that need
to be addressed, but we believe even more
that God's Word provides the answers to
those particular challenges, and that it
helps them understand and discover God's
specific purpose/mission for their lives.
Here are the FAB FIVE (5) areas of ministry
that the NGC foundation is built on:
Ministry - (Matt. 22:39-40) And the second
is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments
hang all the law and the prophets. We teach
by constantly encouraging youth to discover their gifts
and intentionally creating space for
their
gifts to grow through ministry & mission opportunities is
our way we are loving
our
neighbor as
ourselves.Worship - (Matt.22:37-38) "Jesus said unto
him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment." We teach by celebrating God's presence &
honoring Him with our lifestyle is an
expression of our love for Him.
Fellowship - (Eph 4:1-7) "I therefore, the
prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye
walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2
With all lowliness and meekness, with
longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit,
even as ye are called in one hope of your
calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God
and Father of all, who is above all, and
through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us
is given grace according to the measure of
the gift of Christ." We teach the importance of family
by
making sure that our youth are known,
cared for, held accountable, and encouraged in
their
spiritual journey.
Evangelism - (Acts 1:8) "But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." We
teach that sharing the good news of Jesus
Christ to those who don't know Him is not only our
responsibility as believers, but it is our
privilege.
Discipleship - (I Cor 3:6-8) "I have
planted, Apollos watered;
but God gave the
increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing,
neither he that watereth; but God that
giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and he that
watereth are one: and every man shall
receive his own reward according to his own labour." We
teach the importance of mentoring. By
consistently planting seeds and watering their faith, we
are building up and strengthening the Next Generation Church of leaders.
Furthermore, our services will enlist the
creative minds of the NGC, we are currently implementing praise dancers, miming,
signing, rappers, dramatic skits, singing, DJ's, and the spoken word. We would love to
have your help in this ministry as we are
building our young people to be model Christian
believers as well as outstanding
community
citizens.
No matter what area of ministry we are
involved in with the youth, we believe that
young people are very precious and dear to the heart of
God. |
