LEADERSHIP VALUES

Every minister, officer and leader of Bryant Temple A.M.E. Church agrees to aspire to achieve the following:

1. Prayer warrior

We will participate in prayer circles and will pray everyday for the success of The Temple and in the wellbeing of its leadership. We will pray for ourselves, our families, our community, our people, our nation and the world. We will stand as intercessors for others.

2. Bible Student – Bible Study and Sunday School

Every leader of The Temple will participate in exercises of perpetual learning regarding the Word of God. We shall participate in directed or self-studies such that our growing knowledge of God’s Word will be evident to all who come in contact with us. We will participate minimally in weekly Bible Study and/or Sunday School.

The Bryant Temple Family declares:
That we will go wherever we have to go and do whatever we have to do to make more disciples for Jesus Christ. We will baptize the unsaved, and disciple all new members, by loving them first and then teaching them obedience to the commandments of our LORD Jesus and by helping them become committed to the ways of God.

We are committed to becoming a model urban Church for the 21st Century by seeking to make the Great Commission great again.
 

3. Tithing members:

We believe in the biblical injunction regarding giving 10% of our time, talent and treasure to the growth of Kingdom of God. Every leader of the Church agrees to be a tithing member.

4. Supports the Pastor and Church Leadership.

We seek to be obedient in our leadership relationships as described in Hebrews 13:17 (NIV): 17Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

5. Member Recruiter (Evangelizing).

Every leader of the Church agrees to recruit four (4) new members to The Temple in this current Church year.
